HOW THEY LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB (TO SPITE THE LIBS)

D Sidhe

Hawaiian seaweed research? Why not take their budget and turf them out? (Well, because invasive species are decimating fisheries and it gets worse the longer we don’t solve it.) Who cares, though. It makes a good point, right?

We’re at a point where hiring republicans to do *anything* in the government is an act of bad faith, because they don’t want to help. They don’t think there’s a problem, they don’t think people *need* help, they don’t think they *can* help, so why not loot the government from your position? You’re probably doing everyone a favor by not letting them relax into the hammock that the safety net has become.

Trump is this, but essentially the place the GOP was always headed to since Reagan first made his cynical and stupid joke. This is always where they were going, he is always who they were dreaming of. He’s a government saboteur, and he’s so completely that, that he can’t even find the concepts that will allow him to express his confusion at what the point of government is, if not a trough you get to feed from…Donald Trump has essentially been born and bred and taught all his life to be exactly the antithesis of the belief that “people need help” or “people can want to help others” or “people can help others”.

THAT’s why he’s fucking unqualified, and that’s why he’s the height of current-day republicanism.

And I haven’t seen anyone discuss what seems to be Wolff’s fundamental insight into his behavior. And it’s fucking important, if we’re to avoid making this mistake if we ever get another chance.

Journal Week 3: Losing Interest in Progressive Christianity

This is true for me!!

//everyone is at a different developmental stage. You might be just starting out on a necessary and vital season of deconstruction, especially from toxic forms of Christianity…//

With the help of therapy and Research into mind control, propaganda, brainwashing, the effect of cults on individuals and Families has helped me in my deconstruction of what I’ve been through in the last 40 years trying to break through an addictive process that started 40 years ago. I have clusters of addictions now that need my attention to move through. The most helpful thing for me was to get into Alcoholics Anonymous and get an education about addiction. Understanding that I am going through The grief and loss helps me not to blame myself or others for things that are default modes when one doesn’t  have faith in a higher power. I am finding that the current political situation regarding evangelicals who are supporting Trump and the current regime of Republicans to be a Stark contrast to true loving of Neighbors. I think We are all children of God!! I fear for the trajectories of karma that await to engulf those murderers who are copping out on their responsibilities to treat others as they would like to be treated and are becoming like the bad brother Cain.

I will never trust anyone in charge of my government who doesn’t think the point of being in government is to help people. Some people basically believe it but get corrupted, some people believe it in most places but have some blind spots in policy. Donald Trump has essentially been born and bred and taught all his life to be exactly the antithesis of the belief that “people need help” or “people can want to help others” or “people can help others”.
